How it Began
The challenge of pushing her photorealism ever on has never waned and the thrill of bringing joy through her portraits still motivates her today and for portraits to come.
Throughout Chloë’s artistic upbringing one factor remained consistent: her desire to capture as much realism as possible. Despite her overflowing art supplies cupboard, nothing satiated this desire as effectively as simple pencil and paper.
Early school work
Throughout school Chloë’s increasing accuracy drew her more attention. She would agonise over the intricacies of an image and other’s appraisal bolstered her to make her work more life-like than ever. One evening she persevered for eight hours through the night, striving to perfectly recreate a plank of wood. Next day she won her biggest response yet and, bleary-eyed and exhausted, she came to a conclusion: if she could move people with mere wood, think of the value she could bring depicting moments to be truly cherished.

Transition to portraiture
From there it was an easy transition to portraiture. If impressing people with a plank was rewarding, it was nothing compared to the look on a person’s face seeing their loved one represented in art. Invigorated she looked to embellish her drawings further. Experimenting with inks and paint she fell in love with the chic finesse of black and gold and thus the inspiration for Chloë Aisha Gilded Portraits was formed.
